Do you have shiny object syndrome?
I start off nice and easy, with one project I like to work on. It goes well, I see progression and I’m really stretching the creative muscle. But something about being creative gives you a surge of new ideas not related to the project you’re doing right now. Can I just shelve it and wait until I have the time to focus on the idea? Sometimes, but some start growing and takes on a life of its own. At this time it becomes impossible for me to ignore, festering in my mind and so I tell myself I’ll split my time between the two projects.
The Feeling Of Reading Your Own Work
Some one might say, ‘if you cringe over your past work it’s because you see the faults and have gotten better.’ Whether that’s just editorially or through writing itself I don’t know, perhaps they’re not mutually exclusive. But what if you’ve always cringed at reading your own work? What then?

Does Your Personality Decide What You Read And Write?
To write is to show a sense of self to the world, so if you have some self-awareness, you can recognise your personality pop up in your story. If your writing is quirky, or stern and direct, I believe it stems from who you are.
